‘Pakistan Should…’: India’s Strong Rebuttal Over Jammu And Kashmir Remarks
India on Tuesday reaffirmed its firm stance on Jammu and Kashmir, urging Pakistan to vacate the illegally occupied Indian territory.
Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal responded to media inquiries about Pakistan's recent comments on Kashmir, stating that the promotion of cross-border terrorism by Pakistan constitutes the "biggest roadblock" to peace and security in the region.
"The global community recognizes that the core issue is Pakistan's ongoing support and facilitation of cross-border terrorism. This is, in fact, the most significant obstacle to achieving peace and stability. Rather than spreading falsehoods, Pakistan should relinquish the Indian territory it occupies illegally and forcibly," Jaiswal asserted.

Pakistan's Remarks on Jammu and Kashmir
In a recent interview with prominent American podcaster Lex Fridman, Prime Minister Narendra Modi discussed India's attempts to enhance relations with Pakistan, including the invitation extended to then-Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for his oath-taking ceremony. However, PM Modi remarked that every initiative for peace was met with animosity and betrayal from Pakistan.
Following this, Pakistan's foreign office issued a statement rejecting Modi's remarks, accusing India of fueling unrest within Pakistan and committing "state-sanctioned oppression" in Jammu and Kashmir. Pakistan further alleged that India was orchestrating "targeted assassinations, subversion, and terrorism in foreign territories," according to PTI.
Pakistan's Foreign Office spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan also claimed that militants involved in the Jaffar Express attack were in contact with handlers based in Afghanistan.
"India has been involved in terrorism in Pakistan. In the attack on Jaffar Express, terrorists were in direct contact with their handlers in Afghanistan," Khan stated during a weekly press briefing.
However, India strongly refuted these claims, with Jaiswal dismissing Pakistan's allegations as "baseless."
"The entire world knows where the epicenter of global terrorism lies. Pakistan should introspect instead of pointing fingers and shifting blame for its internal issues and failures onto others," he asserted.
