New Delhi, Aug 21: Even as the Indian Government is contemplating placing the separatists under arrest, Pakistan has made it clear that it would go ahead with the meeting.

Pakistan which was advised against meeting with the Hurriyat leaders said that the reception on Sunday is on as per schedule and they will not let India dictate terms.

Pak adamant on meeting Hurriyat leaders: India contemplates arrest.
We are watching the situation closely, an Indian official told OneIndia. We are getting feelers that Pakistan wants the talks postponed, but nothing is clear as of now.

Further the official also said that they have told Pakistan not to meet with the separatists. In the absence of any response on this, we are contemplating the Hurriyat leaders under house arrest.

Divided opinion:

There is a divided view in the government on the issue of separatists. While all in the government stand united on the fact that the Hurriyat leaders should not meet with the Paksitan's National Secutiry Advisor, the timing of their arrest is what is being debated. Some officials in the government are of the view that they should be placed under arrest if they try and meet with the Pakistan's NSA on Sunday.

However others are of the view that the arrest should be effected immediately so that there is no drama on Sunday when the NSA from Paksitan visits India.

The government also needs to take into consideration the situation in Kashmir if the separatists are placed under arrest. We will ensure that security measures are in place, the government official also informed.

Our meeting with separatists on schedule:

Meanwhile Pakistan has reiterated that the meeting of their NSA with the separatists is on scheduled. The reception will be held on Sunday and there is no way that we are changing that, Pakistani officials have said.

Further on the instruction by India that their NSA should not meet with the Hurriyat leader, Pakistan has rejected this and said that they would not let India set terms for them.
