Pahalgam Terror Attack: Black Bike Without Number Plate Seized; Police Investigate Terrorists' Escape Route

In a fresh development following devastating terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir Police have seized a black motorcycle without a number plate near the site of the attack. Investigators believe the vehicle may have been used by the terrorists, and suspect that multiple vehicles were involved in executing the strike, which left at least 26 tourists dead and several others injured.

Meanwhile, security forces are currently conducting search operations to track down the terrorists.

According to reports, preliminary intelligence suggests the militants had pre-arranged transportation to both reach the scenic location and flee after carrying out the terror attack. The seized bike is currently being examined for forensic evidence, including fingerprints, DNA samples, and possible explosive residue. CCTV footage from the surrounding areas is also being reviewed.

Terrorists struck a prime tourist location at Pahalgam in south Kashmir on Tuesday, killing at least 26 people and injuring several others, according to officials. The deceased included two foreigners -- from the UAE and Nepal -- and two locals, officials said.

The Resistance Front (TRF), a known proxy of the Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba and backed by Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), has claimed responsibility for the attack. This is the deadliest Terrorists attack since the 2019 Pulwama strike. The attack took place at Baisaran, a meadow accessible only on foot or by pony, where a group of tourists had gone visiting on Tuesday morning.
