New Delhi, Nov 2: Police on Wednesday detained Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi when he tried to meet the family of a retired soldier who committed suicide demanding the implementation of the One Rank One Pension. He was detained by the Mandir Marg police station and later released.

Police closed the gates of the Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital here when Gandhi went to meet the kin of Ram Kishan Grewal.
An upset Gandhi told the media: "It is an undemocratic mentality. A new kind of India is being created. It is Modiji's India."
Grewal killed himself at a park here on Tuesday, police said.
