In Sahibabad, three sisters died after allegedly jumping from a ninth-floor flat, with one born to the father's first wife and two to the second.Police are investigating a possible link to a Korean online game and analyzing a diary with a handwritten apology found in their belongings.

Family Structure Under Scanner

Chetan Kumar, a trader, had entered into a second marriage after his first marriage initially did not result in children. He later married his first wife's younger sister, and the second marriage resulted in three children. Around the same time, his first wife also gave birth to two children.

The entire family resided together in a ninth-floor flat at the Bharat City housing complex in Sahibabad. Of the three girls who died, one was born to the first wife while the other two were from the second marriage.

Fatal Fall From Ninth Floor

The incident took place at about 2.15 am on Wednesday within the jurisdiction of the Teela Mor police station, when the sisters allegedly jumped from the balcony of their high-rise residence.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Atul Kumar Singh said authorities were alerted in the early hours. The girls were immediately taken by ambulance to a hospital in Loni, where doctors declared them dead on arrival.

Later, the father told reporters that the forensic team had informed him they were examining whether the minors had been influenced by an online Korean task-based game whose final objective was allegedly suicide. Police officials, however, have not confirmed any such link so far.

Korean Content Angle Yet To Be Confirmed

According to a PTI report, preliminary findings suggested the sisters were addicted to a Korean task-based interactive "love game," and their parents had recently objected to their excessive mobile phone use.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Nimish Patil said the girls appeared to have been deeply influenced by Korean content and often spent long hours on their phones.

"Family members had restricted their mobile phone usage for the past few days, which left them distressed and may have triggered the decision," he said.

Officials emphasised that the investigation is still at an early stage and that no definitive connection to any Korean game has been formally established.

Diary And Note Offer Possible Clues

During the search of the girls' belongings, investigators recovered a diary believed to contain references linked to the incident.

A note inside reportedly stated, "Read everything written in this diary, it is all here," accompanied by a crying-face emoji. It also included a handwritten apology that read, "Sorry papa, I am really sorry."

Authorities are analysing the material as part of the ongoing probe to understand what may have driven the sisters to take the extreme step.
