OI Special Report: Ayodhya's Ram Temple Set to Redefine Spiritual Tourism| Ground Report
Ayodhya, the sacred city resonating with centuries of history and mythology, is witnessing a grand transformation with the ongoing construction of the Ram Temple. The monumental entry gate, a symbol of devotion and architectural prowess, is capturing the attention of devotees from across India.
As devotees gather to witness the temple's progress, a prevailing sentiment emerges - the government has commendably executed this project, marking a significant center of Hindutva in the heart of the country. The construction of the corridor, led by Chief Construction Manager Rajeev Kumar Dubey from Tata Consulting Engineers (TCE), is in full swing, with a focus on providing devotees a comfortable and spiritually enriching experience.

Dubey explained to OneIndia the meticulous planning behind the walking passage, designed to shield devotees from rain and sun. The roads are crafted to ensure minimal discomfort for those who choose to pray barefoot, highlighting how devotees' ease has been kept in mind.

He underlines the temple's profound significance, recognising it as a cultural and spiritual landmark.
Devotees expressed satisfaction with the construction, acknowledging the government's dedicated efforts. Arjun, a vendor selling miniature temple models, anticipates a boost in business once the construction concludes, hopeful for a designated space.

The temple complex caters to devotees' needs with locker rooms, drinking water coolers, restrooms, and changing facilities. Regular visitor Raj Kishore believes the temple's completion will redefine India's global image, anticipating a surge in tourism.
Visitors from states like Rajasthan, Maharashtra, and Hyderabad expressed their joy as they witnessed the temple taking shape. A family from Sambhaji Nagar, Maharashtra, excitedly shared their frequent visits, with even the children eager to explore the under-construction temple.

Materials sourced nationwide, including red stones from Rajasthan for the corridor walls and steel girders for temple facilities from Pune, highlight the project's extensive reach.
With Prime Minister Modi set to inaugurate the temple on January 22, 2024, the Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram International Airport is poised to facilitate devotees from afar, aligning with the government's vision for a thriving spiritual tourism destination.
Ayodhya's Ram Temple stands not just as a structure of devotion but as a testament to India's cultural heritage and its embrace of spiritual tourism on a global scale.
