Now, fatwa against Muslim women from posting images on social media
The Darul Uloom Deoband in Uttar Pradesh's Saharanpur on Thursday issued a Fatwa stating that Muslim women uploading and posting their pictures on Facebook, Whatsapp and Twitter was 'unislamic'.

Justifying the fatwa, Shahnawaz Qadri,Darul Uloom Deoband said,''Unnecessary uploading of pictures on social media is wrong. Fatwa of Darul Uloom Deoband is appropriate.''
The fatwa was issued when a Muslim man sought to know if his wife can post and upload her pictures on social media. In response to the question, Darul Iftaa opined that Islam does not allow Muslim women to show their faces in public.
Earlier, the Darul Iftaa had issued another fatwa banning Muslim women from plucking, trimming, shaping eyebrows and cutting hair.
