Not Imran Khan or Sharif, Pakistan citizen wants Narendra Modi to be their Prime Minister
"If The partition had not happened we would have got tomato at PKR 20, chicken at PKR 150 and petrol at PKR 50," a Pakistani is reportedly heard telling in a viral video while claiming that the fate of his country would have been different if ruled by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The Pakistani man's fulsome praise for PM Modi in interactions with a popular YouTuber has gone viral. He made this remark during an interview with Pakistani YouTuber named Sana Amjad. He honestly told her that the citizens of Pakistan would not have faced such a situation if both countries were united.

"I wish Pakistan and India were never partitioned. Then, we would buy vegetables for PKR 20 per kg, chicken for PKR 150 per kg, and petrol for PKR 50 per liter. It is regrettable that Allah got us an Islamic nation but you see Modi is way better. You see how he is sincere towards his people, wish we could have Modi. We do not need Benazir (Bhutto), Nawaz Sharif, Imran Khan, or Parvez Mussharraf, we need Modi, who would bring our people on the right track. Modi has taken his country's economy ahead making it the fifth-biggest economy in the world," Opindia quoted the man named Abid Ali as saying.
"I'm ready to live under Modi's leadership in Pakistan. Modi is a great man. He is not a bad person. You see today t tomatoes and chicken are available to Indians at affordable prices. You begin hating the nation you were born in when you can't arrange bread (roti) for your kids at night," he added.

He then took on the media which has been critical of India. According to him, Pakistan should have friendly relations with India. He then pointed out that there is no comparison between both countries today.
"We have no comparison with India, India is big brother, way too big than Pakistan. We should accept that we are smaller than them, there is nothing wrong with that, and we need to give our false ego. We compare ourselves with India in everything but we need to first come to their level," he added.
After his comments on the YouTube channel of Sana Amjad in which he said that he prayed for his country to get a leader like Modi went viral, he reiterated his remarks in another interview with the YouTuber and said friendship with the Indian prime minister will boost his country's conditions too.
The man said some people told him after the first interview that as a Pakistani he should not have made these remarks but he insisted that he was genuine in his praise for Modi. Modi has fixed his country and taken it to new heights in the last eight years, he said, adding that India and Pakistan used to be compared earlier but there is no comparison now, according to a PTI report.
Indians are doing so well even abroad, he said. PM Modi has worked for his country, the Pakistani citizen said, adding that the Indian prime minister bought oil from Russia in the interest of Indian citizens without caring whether it would anger the US. With Pakistan facing a massive economic crisis with inflation running high, he said it would have been great if the Partition had not taken place as Pakistanis too would be then getting food items and fuel at much cheaper rates.
"I like Modi. I love him. I want meet him and want to hug him," he said, adding that Pakistan does not need a Nawaz Sharif, Benazir Bhutto and Parvez Musharraf but Modi. He said he wants Pakistan to do well like India. After the first video drew wide viewership, the YouTuber also posted another interview with the man on Saturday which attracted more than 50,000 views within five hours after being posted.
"What was India eight years ago. Look how the country has changed in the last eight years. This man has changed the fate of his country," he said. He then stated that he wants to see the "class of Modi" in Pakistani politicians.
He also predicted that PM Modi come to power in 2024.
Pakistan is grappling with one of the country's worst economic crises in recent years amid dwindling foreign exchange reserves, high inflation and sharp depreciation of its currency. It is rolling out higher taxes to get the IMF bailout package.
The citizens of Pakistan are facing the heat of inflation as prices of loose milk have been increased to PKR 210, live broiler chicken costs PKR 480-500 per kg and chicken meat sold at PKR 700-780 a kg.
