Noida Administration Team Supports J-K Bus Attack Victims from City

In a swift response to the tragic terrorist attack on a bus carrying pilgrims in Jammu and Kashmir, the Gautam Buddh Nagar administration has dispatched a team to the region to assist three of its residents who sustained injuries during the incident. The attack, which resulted in the loss of nine lives, also left 41 individuals injured, including two women and a man from the Greater Noida area of Gautam Buddh Nagar district.

Noida Team Aids J-K Attack Victims

District Magistrate Manish Kumar Verma confirmed the identities of the injured residents as Bunty, Mira, and Lakshmi. To ensure their well-being and coordinate relief efforts, a four-member team from Gautam Buddh Nagar has been sent to Jammu and Kashmir. The team is led by Additional District Magistrate Bhairav and comprises an assistant commissioner of police and a naib tehsildar.

The attack not only affected residents of Gautam Buddh Nagar but also saw casualties from other parts of Uttar Pradesh. Official reports state that among the injured were 10 individuals from Balrampur district, eight from Gonda district, and four members of a family from Gorakhpur. The terrorists targeted a 53-seater bus en route from the Shiv Khori temple to Katra. Following a barrage of gunfire, the bus veered off the road and plummeted into a deep gorge near Teryath village in the Poni area.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath condemned the attack as cowardly and expressed his deep sorrow over the incident. Through a post on X in Hindi, Adityanath extended his heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased and wished for a speedy recovery for all those injured. He prayed for the departed souls to find peace at the feet of Lord Shri Ram.

This incident has drawn widespread attention and concern, highlighting the ongoing challenges in ensuring the safety of pilgrims in conflict-prone areas. The administration's prompt action to provide assistance to its residents reflects their commitment to citizen welfare in times of crisis.
