Noida: RTI activist found dead in his car

, May 2: A Right to Information Act activist was found dead on Friday inside his car in

near Delhi.

Chandra Mohan Sharma had fought against illegal encroachments. His body was found charred and the car was also burnt. A case of murder has been filed by the police.

The activist's family has alleged that he was murdered. Sharma had reportedly filed a police complaint on Wednesday saying there was a threat to his life. Reportedly, he had named some people. Now, the family accused the police of not acting on that complaint.

A well-known figure in the field of RTI activism, Sharma had filed queries on the alleged illegal takeover of temple land near his home in Greater Noida.
