No fresh FIR against Tytler for influencing witnesses: CBI
New Delhi, June 26: The CBI on Thursday informed a court hearing a 1984 anti-Sikh riots case that no fresh FIR has been registered till date on the allegation about Congress leader Jagdish Tytler influencing witnesses and laundering money.
The Central Bureau of Investigation made the submission before Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Saurabh Pratap Singh Laler during the hearing of closure report in the case involving Tytler.

Senior advocate H.S. Phoolka, appearing for victim/complainant Lakhvinder Kaur, whose husband Badal Singh was killed during the 1984 riots, cited the statements of different witnesses and businessman Abhishek Verma in the last hearing and alleged that Tytler tried to influence witnesses in the case.
Citing Verma's statement - enclosed with the closure report - Phoolka told the court the businessman had mentioned that Tytler tried to influence one of the witnesses by giving him a hefty sum of money and promising to settle his son abroad.
The court on June 3 sought reply from the probe agency.
Meanwhile, Phoolka on Thursday told the court that he will file a protest petition alleging that the CBI is saving Tytler by not filing any complaint against him regarding influencing witnesses and money laundering.
The court fixed July 30 for further hearing.
The probe agency twice earlier gave a clean chit to the Congress leader. In April 2013, a sessions court rejected the closure report and ordered the probe agency to further investigate the killing.
Acting on its direction, the CBI conducted further probe but again filed another closure report on December 24, 2014.
