No decision on Justice K M Joseph as yet
The decision on elevating Justice K M Joseph to the Supreme Court has been deferred. The SC Collegium was to take up the issue and in a meeting on May 11, it had reiterated that it would go by its January 10 recommend, Justice Joseph to the High Court.

Justice Joseph is the Chief Justice of the Uttarakhand High Court. The Collegium decided to take up the names of the other judges for elevation. It would now wait for the other list to come up and is expected to recommend Justice Joseph's name too.
Justice Joseph's name came up for recommendation once again after the Centre had raised concerns about it. Now if the Collegium sends back his name again, then the government would be bound by it.
