No dance show, vulgar songs ahead of rally: Lalu
Patna, Aug 29: RJD chief Lalu Prasad on Saturday said no 'naach-gaana' and playing of vulgar numbers from Bhojpuri musical albums would be held for party leaders and workers on the eve of the August 30 Swabhiman Rally at the Gandhi Maidan here.
"There will be no 'naach-gaana' (song and dance show); I appealed to my party workers and leaders not to organise any dance performance," Lalu Prasad told the media, a day ahead of the Swabhiman rally of the grand alliance of the Rashtriya Janata Dal, Janata Dal-United and the Congress.

In the past, the rallies of the former chief minister were known for such dance and song performances of nautch girls for party workers and supporters.
"I request my party workers and supporters to attend the rally in large numbers to fill the entire Gandhi Maidan but maintain peace," Lalu Prasad said.
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Lalu Prasad are actively mobilising supporters to make the August 30 rally a success.
The event would be their first big show of unity a year after the two leaders joined hands in a bid to defeat the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance in the state.
Congress president Sonia Gandhi will also attend the rally.
Prime Minister Modi has already addressed 'Parivartan rallies' in Muzaffarpur, Gaya and Saharsa ahead of the assembly polls. He is slated to speak at a rally in Bhagalpur on September 1.
