No counter FIR filed by the Army, says Mehbooba Mufti on Shopian killing case
Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehooba Mufti on Friday said that no counter FIR has been filed by the Army in connection with the death of civilians in Shopian on January 27.

Speaking at the state assembly, Mufti said,"A day after the police filed an FIR into the firing incident, the Army filed a report about the incident in a police station. That report has been kept on record with the already filed FIR into this incident."
The chief minister was responding to opposition leader and National Conference legislator Omar Abdullah's concerns regarding the fate of FIR registered against Army in Shopian over killing of three civilians last month.
Abdullah said that Government of India since 2000 has rejected J&K government's 47 out of 50 requests for prosecution of armed forces personnel involved in human rights violations and three requests are still pending.
