The much-anticipated National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) Rankings for 2025 have been released by the Education Minister, Dharmendra Pradhan. IIT Madras has secured the top position in the overall category for the seventh consecutive year. Other IITs, along with AIIMS Delhi, JNU, and IISc Bangalore, have consistently featured in the top 10 ranks of these prestigious rankings.

In the universities category, IISc Bangalore maintained its leading position for the tenth year straight. Since 2016, when these rankings began, IISc Bangalore has consistently been at the forefront. JNU held onto its second place from last year, while Delhi University improved to fifth place from sixth. BITS Pilani made a significant leap into the top 10 this year from its previous 19th position.
