Delhi Metro Timings On New Year's Eve
For those planning to travel on New Year's Eve, the Delhi Metro has issued an important advisory. The DMRC has announced that exit from Rajiv Chowk Metro Station will not be allowed after 9 pm on December 31. However, commuters can still enter the station until the last train departs.
"As advised by the police authorities, to ease overcrowding on New Year's Eve, exit from Rajiv Chowk Metro Station will not be allowed from 9 pm onwards. However, entry of passengers will be allowed till the departure of the last train," stated the DMRC in an official statement on X, formerly known as Twitter. Commuters are advised to plan their journey accordingly.
The metro service will continue to operate as per the regular timetable across the rest of the network.
For those travelling to New Delhi Railway Station, alternative routes such as Ram Manohar Lohiya Park Street, Mandir Marg, and Rani Jhansi Road are suggested. It is recommended that passengers use the metro for easier access.
Lastly, commuters are advised to avoid Bhairon Road and Mathura Road between Hazrat Nizamuddin and Pragati Maidan, as these routes are expected to experience heavy congestion.
