New wave of intense protests hits Iran
Violent crackdown in bid to suppress dissent has not yielded much for the Iranian government as protests have just become stronger and receiving popular support.
It has been several months since protests started in Iran; however, they were a little subdued in the past few weeks only to appear stronger this time. The latest reports from Iran show that the country is facing another set of outrage against the Islamic regime. People from various and in several places have started protesting and asking for regime change in Iran. These are the biggest sustained protests in the last forty years of time in Iran.
The most affected cities that have been hit by the protests are Tehran and Arak. Several videos have surfaced that show that demonstrations in Iran's capital, Tehran, are catching up again after a couple of weeks of silence. It must be noted that the Iranian government run by the Islamist ideology has executed more than 55 people over the last couple of months charging them with treason. For the records, Iran dubs participation in anti-government protests as 'treason'.

Not just the capital Tehran but some cities like Isfahan, Izeh in Khuzestan province and Karaj have also seen an upsurge in the protests. The Islamic Republic of Iran is trying to shut the voices of the protesters through violence but it appears the indomitable youth of the country are unwilling to surrender.
529 demonstrators killed
Islamic leadership of Iran has relied upon state sponsored violence in tacking the popular protests against them. The reports have come that more than 529 people have been killed in Iran over the last couple of months by the State militia. Nearly 19,700 others have been detained and going through extreme tortures and violence by the State. Several of the people who have been executed did not even receive fair trial.
Needless to say, a violent crackdown trying to suppress the dissent has not yielded much for the Iranian government as protests have just become stronger and receiving popular support. Added with higher inflation and massive unemployment, the protesters have got a few more reasons to topple the government that has failed to deliver governance. The massive failure at the economic front coupled with increased suppression has forced Iranian youth revolt.
The slew of protests have come this weekend as protesters are marking 40 days since the government executed two men for protesting. People have been spotted shouting "Death to the Dictator!" The dictator here is none other than 83-year-old supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who has been running the nation under regressive Islamic rules for several decades now.
