New-born baby stolen in Gujarat
Vadodara, Aug 30: A new-born baby was allegedly stolen by a woman, who impersonated as a nurse, from a hospital at Jarod village in the district, police said on Sunday.
The incident occurred yesterday when the unidentified accused took the day-old baby girl to check her weight and disappeared from the hospital, Waghodiya police station in-charge M K Gujar said.

The matter came to light when hospital authorities informed her mother that they had not deputed anyone to check the baby's weight, he said.
A case under relevant section of IPC has been registered and efforts are on to nab the absconding accused, police said.
