Netizens Flood Internet With Funny Memes After Exit Polls Are Out

As the exit polls results are out for the five state assembly elections, netizens have not wasted time adding humour to the situation.

Many on X(Twitter) came up with funny memes as the exit polls and opinion poll surveys were released on Thursday evening. Many have taken digs, hinting at the saffron party for making its party president JP Nadda a scapegoat rather than blaming Prime Minister Narendra Modi if the party fails to make big difference.

According to exit polls, the BJP is expected to secure victories in two out of three heartland states, with the Congress likely to win in one. The projections suggest that the grand old party will win Chhattisgarh while losing Rajasthan. There is a significant likelihood that Madhya Pradesh could once again be won by the BJP.

Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Telangana and Mizoram went to polls on different days from November 7-30 and votes will be counted for the five states on December 3.

Nearly 16 crore voters were eligible to cast their votes in these elections. This will be the last set of assembly elections ahead of the Lok Sabha polls next year.

Polls in these five states would have 8.2 crore male and 7.8 crore female voters, the Election Commission had said earlier. There are 60.2 lakh first-time voters.

While the Congress is in power in Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh is ruled by the BJP, Telangana by the Bharat Rashtra Samithi and Mizoram by NDA partner Mizo National Front (MNF).
