Haldavnekar said Tejas Shah sought clarity on physics topics and the NEET syllabus. The questions included whether some chapters were part of the NEET syllabus. Asked about Rs 20,000 allegedly paid to Havaldar, Haldavnekar said it was for consultancy. "How can questions be sold for mere Rs 20,000?\" Haldavnekar asked.

The academy reiterated that Tejas Shah’s exchanges with Havaldar were personal. \"We have full faith in the judiciary and the investigation being conducted by the CBI. We would also like to clarify that Shahs interaction with Havaldar was purely in his personal capacity, and the institute had no role in it,\" Haldavnekar said.
