NEET:SC bars medical admission in Tamil Nadu
The Supreme Court has barred medical admissions in Tamil Nadu till Tuesday. The court asked the MCI and state to balance between the students who got through NEET and rural students unequipped for NEET.
The court also asked the government to provide by Tuesday how many students from the state board qualified for NEET.

The court also said, "Our motto is whatever we do, a student who laboured for NEET and got a rank should not suffer at whatever cost. We do not want a situation where NEET is demolished the court also said.
Further the court asked the state and Centre to come with an amicable solution on NEET which will not affect the aspirants.
A balance should be struck and no student should suffer because of government's proposed ordinance exempting state from NEET, the court also said.
