NEET PG Counselling 2024: Will Tomorrow Be The Day Aspirants Have Been Waiting For?
The schedule for NEET PG Counselling 2024 is expected to be released shortly. Although the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has not issued an official notice yet, the United Doctors Front Association (UDFA) has suggested that the counselling schedule could be announced tomorrow, October 16.
Meanwhile, the Supreme Court hearing regarding NEET PG 2024 is set for October 16. Earlier, it was anticipated that the counselling schedule would be released after the Supreme Court's decision.

On October 14, the UDFA provided information indicating that the tentative counselling schedule for NEET PG 2024 will be available within the next two to three days. Dr. Lakshya Mittal, President of UDFA, posted a notice on X, stating, "As per discussions with MCC and Health Ministry officials, the NEET PG 2024 tentative counselling schedule is expected to be updated within the next two to three days. We urge all aspirants to stay tuned for further updates."
NEET PG Counselling 2024 Schedule
The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test - Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2024 results were released on August 23, and the qualified candidates are eagerly awaiting the start of counselling. Once the schedule is released, it will be available on the official MCC website at mcc.nic.in. Candidates are advised to keep checking the website for updates.
NEET PG Exam 2024
The NEET PG exam took place on August 11, in two shifts: the first from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM and the second from 3:30 PM to 7:00 PM. A total of 2,28,540 candidates participated across 416 centres in 170 cities nationwide. In the first shift, 1,07,959 out of 1,14,276 registered candidates appeared, while 1,08,177 out of 1,14,264 candidates attended the second shift. The results were declared on August 23. The NEET PG exam is conducted for admission to MD, MS, DNB, and Diploma courses.
NEET PG 2024 Supreme Court Hearing
The Supreme Court of India will hear a plea related to NEET PG 2024 on October 25. A group of students filed the plea, alleging discrepancies in the NEET PG results and a lack of transparency.
The students have challenged the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) for not releasing the answer key, response sheets, and question paper. The Supreme Court is also questioning the NBE and the central government's decision to change the NEET PG exam pattern just three days before the exam.
