Nayab Singh Saini Meets PM Narendra Modi, Extends Credit For Massive Victory In Haryana
Following a decisive win in the Haryana Assembly elections of 2024, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Saini met with Modi at his Delhi residence on Wednesday, acknowledging the PM's leadership as pivotal for the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) third consecutive victory in Haryana, despite exit polls suggesting otherwise.
BJP President JP Nadda, Home Minister Amit Shah, and Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar were also present during this meeting. Saini attributed this significant triumph to Modi's policies over the past decade, which have positively impacted various groups including the poor, farmers, youth, and women. "The credit for this huge victory goes to PM Modi who has made such policies and schemes in the last 10 years which have benefitted poor, farmers, youth, and women," Saini said after meeting PM Modi.

Impact of Policies
Saini emphasised that Modi's initiatives cater to all societal segments. He believes that the election success reflects both these policies and the public's affection for Modi. "PM Modi's schemes are for every section of society," he stated. Saini also extended his thanks to Haryana's citizens and BJP workers for their support.
Addressing concerns about electronic voting machines (EVMs), Saini remarked that surveys had initially favoured Congress. However, he maintained confidence in BJP's decade-long efforts under Modi's guidance. "Those who question EVM - I said 4 days back that all the surveys were in favour of Congress... But, I have said that we have worked so much in these 10 years under the leadership of PM Modi that the people will make us win," he asserted.
Saini's Remarks on Congress
Saini took a jab at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi by referencing Haryana's famous Gohana Jalebi. He suggested Gandhi should consider setting up a factory for it due to its popularity. "Gohana Jalebi of our Haryana is very famous but the person who presented it should set up a factory," he quipped.
He criticised Congress further by saying they have historically disrespected Dalits and BR Ambedkar. According to him, their deceit succeeded in states like Himachal Pradesh but failed in others including Haryana. "Congress' DNA is such that they have never respected Dalits... Their lies worked in Himachal Pradesh... But Rajasthan, MP, Chhattisgarh and now Haryana have rejected their lies," he added.
Regarding senior BJP leader Anil Vij's comment about potentially becoming chief minister if desired by the high command, Saini acknowledged Vij as an important leader within BJP. "Anil Vij is our leader. If he has said something, he is our leader he can say that," Saini commented.
The recent electoral victory underscores BJP's stronghold in Haryana under PM Modi's leadership while highlighting internal dynamics within party ranks concerning leadership roles post-election results.
