Nayab Saini To Contest From Ladwa: BJP Unveils First Haryana Candidate List

Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini is set to contest the Ladwa seat, according to the BJP's first list of candidates released on Wednesday for the upcoming Haryana Assembly elections.

Haryana Assembly Speaker Gian Chand Gupta has been chosen to represent Panchkula, former Home Minister Anil Vij will contest from Ambala Cantt., former Speaker Kanwar Pal Gurjar from Jagadhri, and former Lok Sabha member Sunita Duggal from Ratia.

Devender Singh Babli, Sanjay Kablana, and Shruti Choudhry, who recently joined the BJP, will run for the Tohana, Beri, and Tosham seats, respectively.

Union Minister Rao Inderjit Singh's daughter, Arti Singh Rao, will contest from Ateli. Capt Abhimanyu and Bhavya Bishnoi, son of Kuldeep Bishnoi, are also among the candidates.

Union Minister and former Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar announced, "Today we released a list of 67 candidates. Almost all senior candidates have been allocated seats. Nominations are expected to begin tomorrow and continue until September 12. Remaining seats will be filled soon, and the final list will be published in a few days."

On the same day the BJP released its candidate list, its former post-poll ally, the Jannayak Janta Party (JJP), also announced its first list of 19 candidates in alliance with the Azad Samaj Party (ASP). Former Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala will contest from Uchana Kalan, where he is the sitting MLA. Of the 19 candidates, 15 are from the JJP, while four are from Chandra Shekhar Azad's ASP.
