National Cinema Day 2024: Watch Movies For Just Rs 99 On September 20!

The Multiplex Association of India (MAI) has declared September 20, 2024, as this year's National Cinema Day. On this day, movie enthusiasts across the country can watch films for just Rs 99 at select cinemas and screens. According to a press release from the national multiplex trade body, cinema chains like PVR INOX, Cinepolis, Miraj, Movie Time, and Delite will offer this Rs 99 deal at over 4,000 screens across India.

"This special day brings together audiences of all ages to celebrate the success of multiple box office hits this year. It's a heartfelt 'thank you' to the moviegoers who helped achieve this success and a warm invitation to those who haven't yet returned to their local cinema," the association said in a statement.

This will be the third edition of National Cinema Day, following two previous events that saw record-breaking attendance of over 6 million people.

Which films to watch on National Cinema Day 2024?

Movie lovers will have plenty of options to choose from on September 20. The line-up includes a mix of blockbusters, much-anticipated sequels, and timeless classics. New releases include Yudhra, Kahan Shuru Kahan Khatam, Navra Maza Navsacha - 2, Sucha Soorma, Never Let Go, and Transformers One. Recent hits like The Buckingham Murders and Ardaas Sarbat De Bhale Di will also be available.

Additionally, Stree 2, which has remained strong at the box office since its August 15 release, will continue screening. The re-releases of Tumbbad (2018) and Veer Zaara (2004), which hit theatres on September 13, are also part of the line-up.
