Tough days ahead for PM Modi: Rahul Gandhi emerges as ‘challenger’ to him

New Delhi, Feb 19: It seems the ‘Acche Din' for Prime Minister Narendra Modi have started fading away as Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi has emerged as a strong challenger for him.

An opinion survey conducted by the India Today-Karvy Insights brought a mixed bag of reactions for PM Modi, while survey shows that Congress is creeping up the popularity chart.

Rahul a challenger to PM Modi

The survey gives 286 seats to NDA if polls were held now and its vote share of 37 percent continues to be intact.

On the one hand, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has emerged as best prime ministerial candidate while the NDA which won 134 seats in north is now projected to win 103 only.

In the western region too, NDA has witnessed a downfall and projected to win 87 seats only instead of 107 while UPA's seat share in the north has gone up to 24 from 6.

According to the survey, 40 percent of the respondents think intolerance has gone up in India under Modi's rule.
