Naidu Lauds Modi on Winning Third Term as Prime Minister, Eyes Developed India
New Delhi/Amaravati, June 9: In a significant political development, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister-designate and BJP ally, N Chandrababu Naidu, extended his congratulations to Narendra Modi for being sworn in as the Prime Minister of India for an impressive third consecutive term. Naidu expressed his best wishes for Modi's tenure, which he hopes will be dedicated to achieving a 'Viksit Bharat' or a developed India. "On behalf of the people of Andhra Pradesh, I congratulate Modi on being sworn in as the prime minister of India for a remarkable third consecutive term," Naidu stated in a social media post.

Furthermore, Naidu conveyed his congratulations to all the newly sworn-in NDA cabinet ministers and Ministers of State (MoS), wishing them success in their roles. "May this ceremony mark the beginning of a new era of growth, development, and prosperity for our nation," he added. The recent elections saw the NDA alliance, comprising TDP, BJP, and Jana Sena, secure a landslide victory with a majority of 164 assembly and 21 Lok Sabha seats. This victory has led to Andhra Pradesh receiving three ministerial berths in the new government—one cabinet and two MoS positions.
TDP’s Srikakulam MP K Ram Mohan Naidu has been appointed to the Union Cabinet, while Narasapuram MP B Srinivasa Varma and Guntur MP P Chandra Sekhar have been named ministers of state. The appointments reflect the central leadership's recognition of the state's contribution and support towards the NDA's overwhelming victory.
Expressing his gratitude, Chandra Sekhar shared on social media, "I convey my gratitude to the people of India and NDA leadership for entrusting me with a central ministerial responsibility." He pledged to fulfill his duties diligently and work towards the welfare of the people and the nation's advancement. In West Godavari district, celebrations were held to honor Varma’s achievement. Venkateswari Devi, Varma's wife, remarked, "Today is the happiest day in our lives. BJP has recognised his 34 years of efforts and gave him this minister position."
This political milestone signifies not only the trust placed in these leaders by their constituencies but also by the national leadership. Their induction into the government is expected to bring focused attention and resources towards Andhra Pradesh's development needs. As these leaders embark on their new roles, there is an air of optimism about their potential to contribute significantly to both their state and the country’s progress.
