Mysore Shocker: Goat delivers human-like kids

Mysuru, Dec 24: A goat surprised everyone when it gave birth to two stillborn kids with a resemblance to a human face. The shocking incident took place at the Solapur hamlet in HD Kote taluk in Karnataka on Monday, Dec 23.

The incident surprised everyone and a huge number of people thronged at the place to see the miracle. The owner of the goat informed that it gave birth to first human-like still-born kid at around 6:30 am. It delivered the second kid around 12 pm. The second kid was a female with human feature.

According to the owner and other eye-witnesses, at least 70 per cent of the features are human-like. The eyes, nose and mouth of the kid resemble a human baby. Even the limbs are like that of a human. Only ears and foot were those of a goat, reported Deccan Chronicle.

The goat has delivered around 10 babies till now, all of them normal, said the owner of the goat. Meanwhile, people begun discussing that the birth of such goats would bring a bad omen. The owner of the goat has been suggested to dispose off the still-borns.

The daily quoted Dr Devadas, the deputy director of animal husbandry, as saying, "In medical terms, the condition in is called fetal anasarta, means the baby body filled with excessive fluids. This happens due to a genetic disorder or infection."

Dr Devadas also informed that the two still-born baby goats will be preserved and exhibited at the Mysore Dasara Exhibition.
