Muslim Boy Elopes With Hindu Girl In UP, His Parents Brutally Killed By Neighbours

A Muslim couple was allegedly killed by their neighbours after the son of the deceased ran away with a Hindu girl and married her. The incident occurred in Uttar Pradesh's Sitapur on Friday.

The victims have been identified as Abbas and his wife Kamrul Nisha who were beaten to death in their village Rajeypur under the Hargaon Police Station area, Sitapur Superintendent of Police Chakresh Mishra said.

Both the husband and wife died on the spot in the attack while all the accused fled from the spot.

Mishra stated that some years ago, Abbas's son had eloped with a girl from a neighboring household, and a case was filed in this regard. Subsequently, Abbas's son was sent to jail. Upon his recent release from prison, a group of family members orchestrated an assault on the couple, Mishra elucidated.

A case has been initiated by the police, encompassing appropriate legal provisions, as mentioned by Mishra. The pursuit of the missing suspects is actively underway, he appended.

Police have started the investigation by registering a case under relevant sections, he said. Search for the absconding accused is on, he added.

"According to the villagers, the son of the deceased couple and Shaukat Rampal's daughter Ruby had an affair. Shaukat had abducted Ruby in the year 2020. At that time, Ruby was a minor and after registering a case, the police sent Shaukat to jail. He again abducted and married Ruby in June," NDTV quoted Chakresh Mishra as saying.

The police have arrested three persons in connection with this brutal murder while the hunt for the two more accused involved in the incident is on.
