Musical Ode: Flautists play sweet notes in support of demonetisation

A group of people, along with flautists, came together in front of the office of the collectorate in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, to pay a musical ode to demonetisation.

Chennai, Nov 24: In a unique way, musicians in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, played flutes to express their support for demonetisation on Wednesday.

A group of people, along with flautists, came together in front of the office of the collectorate to pay a musical ode to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's "masterstroke" decision to scrap high-value currency notes.

While the flautists played musical tunes, rest of the people were seen holding placards, stating that they were with PM Modi in his war against black money.

On November 8, Modi announced the scrapping of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 currency notes to fight against black money, counterfeit currencies and terror funding.

While many politicians and economists have slammed the move, calling demonetisation a hasty decision, as the country is facing severe cash crunch, most of the surveys have given a thumbs up to Modi's latest economic decision.
