Mumbai: Popular actor molests wife, arrested
Mumbai, Oct 5: Khalid Siddiqui, a popular TV actor, has been arrested by Mumbai Police. He has been accused of molesting his wife Rahaat.
Siddiqui and Rahaat have been living separately since last two years but technically both of them are still husband-wife. Their son and daughter, however, stay with Siddqui and visit their mother on weekends and holidays.

Rahat filed a case of molestation, assault and criminal intimidation against Siddiqui. She also recorded her statement with police.
According to her statement, she was upset as Siddiqui allegedly failed to take care of their children. She said that her son was suffering from fever. But Siddiqui allegedly was not present at his house to take care of their son.
Instead, Siddiqui allegedly spent time with his girlfriend. Speaking about the incident, Rahat was quoted as saying, "...my son was unwell at home and Khalid was busy with his girlfriend, I started screaming his name. He immediately answered his phone the next time I called, and said he was coming down, but did so only after an hour."
Siddiqui allegedly tried to strangulate and molest Rahat. After his arrest, Siddiqui was granted bail.
The lawyer of the actor was quoted as saying, "We told the court that this was only a dispute between husband and wife, and that there was no real case made out against him. They might be living separately, but he is still her husband. In fact, it is his wife who is creating problems in his life."
