Mumbai-Bound Indigo Flight Receives Hoax Bomb Threat, All Passengers Safe
The trend of hoax calls doesn't seem to be dying down. A Mumbai-bound IndiGo flight from Chennai received a bomb threat on Tuesday. However, the flight landed safely in Mumbai, an airport source confirmed.
The bomb threat was communicated to the airline's call center in New Delhi, and the flight landed at Mumbai airport at 10:30 PM.

"All passengers have safely disembarked the aircraft. We are working with the security agencies and, post completion of all security checks, the aircraft will be positioned back in the terminal area," an IndiGo spokesperson said.
Upon landing, the crew of IndiGo flight 6E 5149 followed the established safety protocol. The aircraft was taken to an isolation bay, and all passengers safely disembarked. IndiGo stated they are collaborating with security agencies to perform thorough security checks before repositioning the aircraft back to the terminal area.
On the same day, several airports, including those in Varanasi, Chennai, Patna, and Jaipur, received bomb threat emails, causing authorities to initiate contingency measures and anti-sabotage checks.
These threats, received at around 12:40 PM from the email ID [email protected], were later deemed hoaxes.
The emails received by the recipients carried almost similar message, "Hello, there are explosives hidden in the Airport. The bombs will soon explode. You will all die."
Airports in Nagpur, Vadodara, Coimbatore, and Jabalpur also received similar hoax threats.
