Mumbai: 4 impatient youth kill 30-year-old man over delay in vacating cab

In yet another shocking incident, four teenagers killed a 30-year-old man as he was taking lot of time to vacate a taxi which they wanted to hire, quickly. The incident took place in Chembur on Tuesday afternoon, and all four culprits have been nabbed.

The victim, Surendra Singh, a resident of Chembur, had come to Crawford Market for shopping along with two of his friends - Ram Babu Savita (23) and Brij Singh (24). After the shopping, they hired a taxi. At Kailash Mandir in Chembur, Krishna Boyanna (18) and his three friends, minors, were in a tearing hurry to take the taxi in which the victim Surendra Singh and two others were travelling.

While Singh was paying the fare, the four accused, who were sitting in the taxi now, asked the driver to hurry. Singh, however, did not have change and took his time. Meanwhile, the four accused started abusing the victim.

This led to a spat, and the accused allegedly Singh on his head. Soon after, his friends also joined in the assault and hit Singh. They also assaulted Singh's friend Ram Babu. However, their associate Brij was horrified at the incident and ran away from the spot.

Singh sustained serious injuries and was rushed to a hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.

Meanwhile, a case of murder has been registered against all four, including 18-year-old Krishna Pomanna Boyanna, a resident of Chembur Camp area. The three minors have been sent to a juveniles home in Dongri.
