Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi Pays Tribute To Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei, Calls For Peace Amid Tensions

Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on Monday expressed condolences over the death of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. He also stressed that war cannot solve problems and urged global leaders to work toward restoring peace.

Naqvi visited the Embassy of Iran, where he signed the condolence book and met Iranian Ambassador Mohammad Fathali to offer his sympathies.

Naqvi Pays Tribute at Iranian Embassy

During his visit to the Iranian Embassy in New Delhi, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi expressed his condolences to the Iranian government and people over the loss of their leader.

He signed the condolence register kept at the embassy and spoke with Ambassador Mohammad Fathali, conveying his heartfelt sympathy following the death of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

The BJP leader said the loss of such a prominent figure is deeply felt and expressed hope that peace will soon return to the region.

"War Is Not a Solution," Says BJP Leader

While speaking after his visit, Naqvi emphasized that war cannot resolve conflicts and instead creates more problems.

He said that peace is essential for the safety and well-being of humanity. According to him, the current global situation calls for calm and dialogue rather than military action.
Naqvi also shared a message of hope, saying he prays that the "nectar of peace" will emerge from the ongoing crisis.

Concern for Indians in the Gulf Region

The BJP leader also raised concerns about the safety of Indians living in the Gulf region.
He noted that lakhs of Indians reside in countries such as Iran and other Gulf nations, and continued conflict could put their lives at risk. He stressed the need for stability and peaceful solutions to ensure the safety of civilians.

Naqvi further said that the sovereignty and territorial integrity of every nation must be respected.

Death of Iran's Supreme Leader

According to reports, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed in military strikes carried out by the United States and Israel on February 28.

Khamenei had served as Iran's Supreme Leader since 1989 and was one of the most influential figures in the country's political and religious leadership.

His death has intensified tensions in the Middle East.

Conflict Escalates in the Gulf Region

Following the strikes, Iran reportedly launched retaliatory attacks targeting Israeli and American military bases in several Gulf countries.
