Muhammad Ali great sportsperson from Kerala, thinks sports minister
Kochi, June 5: Legendary former heavyweight boxing champion Muhammad Ali who breathed his last on June 4 was from Kerala, this is what Kerala sports minister E P Jayarajan thinks.
His reaction came when he was approached for comment on the death of legendry athlete by a Malayalam TV news channel soon after the news broke out.

"I just heard that Muhammad Ali breathed his last in America. He was a great sportsperson from Kerala. He flagged the fame of Kerala sky-high by winning a gold medal," state sports minister E P Jayarajan was quoted as saying by the Malayalam TV news channel.
He was later trolled on social media for his foot-in-the mouth comment.
