CDS Air Force List: MRSAFPI cadet Jasnoor Singh secures All India Rank 1

Mohali-based Maharaja Ranjit Singh Armed Forces Preparatory Institute (MRSAFPI) cadet Jasnoor Singh has secured All India Rank 1 in the Combined Defence Services CDS Air Force List and will proceed to the Air Force Academy, Hyderabad. Fellow cadet Sukhraj Singh Heera ranked 4 and will join the Indian Military Academy, Dehradun.

A cadet from Mohali-based Maharaja Ranjit Singh Armed Forces Preparatory Institute (MRSAFPI) secured the first All India Rank (AIR) in the Combined Defence Services (CDS) Air Force List. The cadet, Jasnoor Singh, belonged to MRSAFPI’s 10th Course. An official statement said Jasnoor Singh will move to the Air Force Academy in Hyderabad next.

The statement said Jasnoor Singh is the son of a businessman from Pathankot. Jasnoor Singh will join a pre-flying training course at the Air Force Academy. The result also marked the fifth time an MRSAFPI cadet has taken the top rank nationwide. It was the third such top rank in the last two years.

MRSAFPI cadets in CDS Air Force List and IMA course

Another MRSAFPI cadet, Sukhraj Singh Heera from Rupnagar, secured the 4th All India Rank. The statement said Sukhraj Singh Heera is set to join the Indian Military Academy (IMA) in Dehradun. The cadet will enter the 161st course, which begins in June. Both results placed MRSAFPI cadets among the top national ranks.

MRSAFPI cadets and Punjab government youth aspirations

The official statement linked the results to the Punjab government’s efforts for young people. It said the repeated top rankings reflected a focused push to meet the aspirations of the state’s youth. The statement highlighted that three top national ranks came in the last two years. It also noted this was the fifth overall top rank by an MRSAFPI cadet.

MRSAFPI cadets receive congratulations from Aman Arora

Punjab Employment Generation and Skill Development Training Minister Aman Arora congratulated both cadets for the performance. "This is just the beginning of their journey to become future officers of Indias defence forces. I urge them to approach their training with utmost seriousness and dedication. Punjab is truly proud of their achievement,\" he said. The message focused on discipline during training and pride in the results.

MRSAFPI Director Major General Ajay H Chauhan, VSM Retd, also congratulated Jasnoor Singh and Sukhraj Singh Heera. Major General Ajay H Chauhan said the cadets brought pride to their alma mater. The statement confirmed their next steps to training institutions in Hyderabad and Dehradun. The latest ranks added to MRSAFPI’s record in national defence selection lists.
