MP fat-shamed police officer loses 15kg weight, resumes duty

After a mean mock by the socialist Shobhaa De to the police in Madhya Pradesh police officer on his weight, the officer now shows that he is fit and fine.

Bhopal: Daulatram Jogawat, a Madhya Pradesh police officer resumed his duty 3 days ago after he was mocked by socialist Shobha De on February 21 as she posted his photograph with a caption "Heavy police bandobast in Mumbai today". He has lost over 15kg in a month.

Jogawat, who reacted to the statement saying that it was due medical complications that he was overweight but not because of overeating.

Many hospitals reached out to the police officer to treat him and among that Saifee Hospital offered free of cost Laparoscopic Banded Roux en Y Gastric Bypass surgery for the officer. The Neemuch-based officer said that he is fit and fine now and was doing the regular exercise as advised by the doctors. My health is also improved and I have losing weight, said the police officer who weighted more the 182kgs before Shobhaa De's tweet.

Dr Muffazal Lakdawala said that the recovery of the officer is spectacular and he might lose 100 kgs by the end of 18 months.

Not forgetting Shobhaa De's mock, the police officer in March has thanked her for the tweet that helped him to get treatment from the best hospitals.
