MP: 8 killed in jeep-truck collision

Khandwa (MP), Oct 26: Eight persons were killed today and seven others injured when the jeep in which they were travelling collided with a truck near Roshiya crossing, 25 km from the district headquarters, police said.

The victims were on their way to Omkarreshwar for a pilgrimage when the mishap took place around 12 noon on Indore-Icchapur State Highway.

All of them are related to each other and belong to Pune and Bhusawal (Maharashtra), Khandwa SP, Manoj Sharma said. Among the deceased, three are men along with as many women besides two children, police said. The victims have not been identified yet. Further details are awaited.
