MP: 4 People Lose Lives In Shivpuri After A Pickup Van Falls Into A Ditch
At least four persons were killed on Saturday after a pick-up van carrying buffaloes fell into a ditch in Madhya Pradesh's Shivpuri district. The incident took place on the Narwar-Bhitarwar road near Kerua village 50 km from the district headquarters.

According to the PTI reports, the deceased have been identified as Nasir Qureshi, Sannu Qureshi, Sameer Qureshi, and Farman Qureshi.
According to Sumit Sharma, Narwar Outpost In Charge, the deceased belonged to Rajasthan's Dholpur. He further informed that the four persons purchased buffaloes from Shivpuri and were returning to their home in Rajasthan.
Narwar Outpost In Charge, Sharma added that the driver lost control of the vehicle and the pickup van rolled down a ditch. The trolley carrying buffaloes then rammed into the pickup van and the four persons succumbed to injuries.
The bodies of the deceased have been sent for post-mortem for the police investigations.
A similar incident took place in Kerala's Wayanad district that killed at least nine people including women. Reportedly, the deceased died after a jeep carrying tea plantation workers fell into a deep gorge in Wayanad district.
The police informed that the driver lost control and plunged the vehicle into a gorge which led to the death of 12 people travelling in the jeep.
The mishap took place at around 3.30 PM on the Valad-Mananthavady road, the police said.
However, the victims were rushed to a hospital at Mananthavady where nine of them were declared dead and the remaining were in serious condition according to the police.
