Hyderabad, April 15: Ace Indian mountaineer Malai Mastan Babu, who was missing since March 24 and was found dead on April 3 in the Andes, will be brought back to the country by the end of this week.

The embalming process takes about three days, said one of Babu's close friend Satyam Beemasaretti in Hyderabad.

His body will be cremated with full state honours in his native village Nellore in Andhra Pradesh.

40-year-old Babu, a native of Nellore district, had gone to Chile about 10 days ago for an expedition to climb the 21,748 feet-high Cerro Tres Cruces Sur on the Chilean side of the Andes range.

Babu, who had many records to his credit, had famously scaled seven summits of the world in 172 days in 2006.

Soon after getting the heart-breaking news of untimely death of Malli, his sister Dorasanamma rushed to Argentina.
