Monsoon Session: Govt to Discuss All Matters, Including Manipur
The Central Government has expressed its willingness to engage in parliamentary discussions on all relevant issues during the upcoming monsoon session, as permitted by the rules and approved by the Chair. This was conveyed by Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi during an all-party meeting.
The government has shown its readiness to address various matters, including the situation in Manipur. The Congress Party requested a discussion on the Manipur issue during the meeting.

The opposition stressed the need for a parliamentary debate on Manipur and emphasized that addressing the issue of rising prices is of utmost importance and should not be negotiated. Senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh stated that the government must abandon its "my way or the highway" approach.
Ramesh further stated that the Congress Party would oppose any bill related to the Delhi ordinance, which undermines the constitutional rights and responsibilities of the elected government.
"The opposition should have the opportunity to express its views, and the government should be able to proceed with its agenda. The primary responsibility for ensuring the functioning of Parliament lies with the government," said Ramesh.
