Modi-led govt will be better than the previous NDA govt: Advani

Gandhinagar, Feb 11: Bharat Janata Party's senior leader Lal Krishna Advani on Monday assured his party workers that

as prime minister, the government would be stronger than the previous NDA government.

"Recently, I wrote a balance-sheet of Vajpayeeji's government. I am sure that our next government will do better. Never before has it been so evident that the incumbent government is on its way out," Advani said at the inauguration of BJP's state headquarters.

Advani represents Gandhinagar in Lok Sabha.

No one believes Manmohan Singh is a full-time prime minister, he said, adding that the ruling Congress was targeting the Modi to divert attention from important issues like corruption.

"I have come here to attend the inauguration of the new party headquarters and a function at Keshubhai Patel's house. I would not like to comment on any other issue at present", he said, refusing to comment on whether he would contest the LS polls.

However,yesterday Advani had said that his political career hasn't ended yet. Also, few days back Rajnath Singh had said that Advani is free to decide where to contest the polls from.

There are speculations that the former CM Kesubhai may return to the BJP fold soon.
