Khattar Claims Modi's Decade Tops Congress's Six Decades of Work

Former Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, in a recent public meeting in Burari, made a bold statement comparing the achievements of the current administration under Prime Minister Narendra Modi to those of the Congress party over a span of 55-60 years. Khattar, showing his support for BJP's Northeast Lok Sabha candidate Manoj Tiwari, highlighted several key initiatives and developments that have taken place under Modi's leadership.

Modi Outshines Congress: Khattar

One of the significant changes Khattar pointed out was the abrogation of Section 370, leading to Jammu and Kashmir being integrated as a state like any other in India. He also emphasized India's economic growth, stating that the country has become one of the five largest economies globally under Modi's tenure. Khattar expressed confidence that India is on track to become the third-largest economy within the next five years and aims to achieve the status of 'Viksit Bharat' by 2047.

Khattar, who is contesting the Lok Sabha elections from Haryana's Karnal, also mentioned Modi's global prestige. He recalled an instance during the Ukraine-Russia conflict when Modi successfully called for a 24-hour ceasefire, allowing not only India but other nations to evacuate their citizens safely.

The implementation of GST in 2017 was another milestone brought up by Khattar. Despite initial resistance from traders, he noted that it has now become a widely praised reform. Furthermore, Khattar shared his decision to step down as Haryana's Chief Minister after 9.5 years, following the Prime Minister's request, showcasing his dedication to national service over personal position.

Khattar also touched upon the cooperation between Haryana and Delhi, particularly in water supply, illustrating the spirit of mutual support between neighboring states. He concluded by contrasting BJP's development-focused agenda with what he described as the opposition's lack of constructive plans for the nation's welfare.

As Delhi prepares for polling across its seven Lok Sabha seats in the sixth phase on May 25, with counting to follow on June 4, Khattar's remarks underscore the BJP's campaign narrative centered around development and national progress.
