Mob attacks court commissioners on visit to illegal abattoirs in Bengaluru, 12 arrested
A team of court commissioners, lawyers, police and members of a cows protection NGO, which had gone to check illegal abattoirs at Yelahanka New Town here, was attacked by a mob.
Bengaluru police arrested 13 people in connection with the attack on Court Commissioners of the High Court appointed to inspect illegal slaughterhouses in the city.

The team members were "heckled, chased, attacked and the windowpanes of police vehicles smashed" by the mob on Tuesday after it detected an illegal abattoir at Dodda Bettahalli, according to Kavitha Jain, a member of the Gau Gyan Foundation that works for the protection of cows and its progenies.

The Commissioner had informed police that in Talghatatpura Police Station limits cattle were kept for purpose of slaughter.
Acting on information, police went to the spot and found a mob gathered there. Police asked for more personnel and rescued 3 animals, reported ANI.
A case was registered under the Cow Slaughter Act.
