Mehbooba calls on Guv, discusses situation in Valley

Srinagar, Jul 12: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti today called on Governor NN Vohra and discussed various issues concerning the state including the prevailing law-and-order situation in the Valley.

"In the hour-long meeting at Raj Bhavan here, Governor NN Vohra and Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti discussed various important matters relating to maintenance of peace and harmony," said an official spokesman.

Other issues discussed between the two included improving educational standards, providing the best opportunities to the youth, recognising and rewarding efficiency, honesty and merit in all arenas of functioning and securing all-round rapid growth and development of the state, he added.
