Meet new-age Veeru of Sholay; Woman climbs water tank to eradicate alcohol

Nagpur, Dec 10: Remember Dharmendra playing the alcoholic Veeru in the blockbuster film Sholay? The same penchant was shown by 45-year old Premlata Sonawane from Nagpur who climbed a water tank to draw the attention of administration to eradicate alcohol from her district.

A social activist from Sonala village of Buldhana district, she has been trying to draw the attention of officials toward the issue for quite some time, but in vain.

She climbed the tank and started shouting that the local administration is not doing anything eradicate alcohol from Sonala village in Sangrampur Taluka of Buldhana district.
