Meerut Murder: Cops Probe Shocking AI Video of Muskan With Policeman in Saurabh Rajput Case

As the investigation into the gruesome murder of Saurabh Rajput continues, an AI-generated obscene video allegedly featuring Muskan Rastogi-Rajput's wife and a prime accused-alongside a police officer, has triggered controversy.

Police confirmed that the video, created using artificial intelligence, purportedly shows Rastogi and Brahmpuri police station in-charge Ramakant Pachauri in a compromising position. Authorities suspect the video was uploaded on social media with malicious intent, and efforts are underway to trace those responsible.

A complaint regarding the video was filed by Karamveer Singh of Brahmpuri police station, who stated that an Instagram account named 'Priyanshu' had shared the misleading clip. Officials believe the intent was to malign the police officer's reputation.

Take a Poll

SP City Ayush Vikram Singh said, "Based on the complaint lodged by the senior sub-inspector, an FIR has been registered against the Instagram user under Section 67 of the IT (Amendment) Act. The individuals responsible for fabricating and spreading these videos will be arrested soon."

In addition, similar objectionable videos allegedly featuring Muskan and co-accused Sahil Shukla have surfaced online, including a clip that seemingly depicts their involvement in the crime.

'Reels and Memes' Emerge Over Brutal Murder

The horrific killing of Saurabh Rajput, a merchant navy officer, has sparked widespread discussions on social media. Content creators have flooded online platforms with reels and memes-many referencing a 'blue drum,' allegedly used to dispose of the victim's body. While some condemn the insensitivity of such content, others continue to engage with and share it.

Senior superintendent of Meerut district jail, Viresh Raj Sharma, stated that Muskan and Sahil were presented in court on March 19 and subsequently sent to jail. As per protocol, they were kept in an observation barrack for ten days before being moved to the main barrack with other inmates.

Accused Seek Legal Support, Families Distance Themselves

With the police nearing the completion of their investigation, forensic reports on fingerprints, blood samples, and the murder weapon are expected to strengthen the case in court.

Meanwhile, the accused have reportedly requested to stay together in jail. During a meeting with their legal team, led by advocate Rekha Jain, Muskan and Sahil pleaded for an expedited bail process. However, their families have disowned them-Muskan's relatives have refused to meet her, while only Sahil's grandmother, Pushpa Devi, has visited him, jail officials said.

As a result, Muskan and Sahil have requested a government-appointed lawyer. The District Legal Services Authority has assigned advocate Rekha Jain to represent them. The jail administration clarified that under prison rules, only legally married inmates are permitted to meet once every fifteen days. Meanwhile, their legal team has assured them that a bail plea will be filed soon.
