Mayawati-Led BSP Suspends MP Danish Ali For Indulging In 'Anti-Party Activities'
Danish Ali, the Lok Sabha MP who encountered verbal abuse from a BJP leader on the parliamentary floor a few months back, now faces suspension from the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) under Mayawati's leadership. The expulsion grounds point to "anti-party activity" as the primary cause for this disciplinary measure.
In an official statement released by the BSP on Saturday, the party explicitly stated that Danish Ali has been suspended for engaging in actions detrimental to the party's interests.

The notice highlighted, "Despite prior warnings against participating in activities contrary to the party's stance... It's imperative to remind you... of your involvement with the Janata Party under Deve Gowda in Karnataka in 2018... During that period, BSP and Deve Gowda's Janata Party were contesting elections together, and you were fielded as a candidate from Amroha with the understanding that you would uphold the party's interests. However, it appears you have disregarded the commitments made at that time. Hence, your suspension from the party."
The letter, however, did not specify the exact reason for the MP's suspension.
In the aftermath of objectionable remarks directed at Ali by BJP MP Ramesh Bidhuri within Parliament, Bidhuri engaged in discussions with various prominent Opposition figures. Additionally, he staged a solitary protest outside Parliament on Friday, advocating for justice for Trinamool Congress leader Mahua Moitra, who had been expelled from the Lok Sabha.
