Mathura, Uttar Pradesh: The Uttar Pradesh Police have filed a charge sheet against a woman and her two associates for allegedly killing her ailing husband and disposing of his body from a hilltop in neighboring Rajasthan. The incident came to light after the skeletal remains of the victim, identified as Narayan, were discovered in Kaman, Rajasthan, on December 5, 2022.
The Investigation
The investigation into Narayan's disappearance began when his wife, Chandrawati, filed a missing complaint on August 21, 2022. She claimed that her husband had left home for work and had not returned. However, mobile location data revealed that Chandrawati and Narayan had traveled to Kaman, Rajasthan, on August 18, and there had been no sightings of Narayan since then.
Confession and Arrests
During interrogation, Chandrawati confessed to killing her husband with the assistance of her accomplices, Naval Singh and Narayan Singh. She revealed that Narayan had been suffering from chronic illnesses, and she decided to end his life. The trio allegedly strangled Narayan to death and disposed of his body by throwing it from a hilltop.
DNA Confirmation
The police filed the charge sheet against Chandrawati, Naval Singh, and Narayan Singh after a DNA report confirmed that the skeletal remains found in Kaman belonged to Narayan. The investigation team gathered substantial evidence, including mobile location data, witness statements, and the confession of the accused, which led to the filing of the charge sheet.
The Uttar Pradesh Police's prompt investigation and meticulous evidence collection have resulted in the filing of a charge sheet against the accused individuals. The case highlights the importance of thorough investigations in ensuring justice for victims and holding perpetrators accountable for their actions.
