As her tweet went viral, a tweet from the official Twitter account of the CM's office surfaced on Tuesday, Aug 18. The tweet read, "@MaryAbdo Noted.CM @Dev_Fadnavis has directed Joint CP Deven Bharti to look into it.Please follow us so that we will DM you contact details."
According to reports, Abdo, who works as a writer in the city, initially refused to file any legal complaint against the culprit, whose identity was yet to be released.
However, the cops persuaded the woman and she finally agreed to record her statement. The viral tweet posted by Abdo has been retweeted over 2,300 times.
Abdo, after recording her statement with police, removed the picture of the culprit from her Twitter post saying, "I am now in touch with the police here and am handing this matter over to them. I have therefore decided to take down the picture."
